As i have perfect control over the all drives, loading and unloading tapes etc. etc. and as the first VM in a job always works, i don't suspect my drivers are wrong. WebFeb 7, 2024 · Veeam doesn't have the option to decompress a backup to Tape / VTL so the backups are already compressed. Having compression enabled on the VTL seemed redundant because of this. We were hoping to utilise the dedupe more when there are multiple full backups taken.
